Senior Quantity Surveyor

OverviewOrion is working with an increasingly succesful Scottish based Civils and Infrastructure business to source a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join there Glasgow based team.

Our client has a long history ofdelivering ambitious projects across the renewables, marine, and power and transmission sectors and with some recent high pofile contract wins added to there already healthy order book of projects, this would be a great time to join the business and elevate your career.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of cost management and budgeting across high-value projects.

Prepare, review, and manage estimates, contracts, and valuations - directly impacting project profitability.

Lead cost and risk analyses to support informed decision-making.

Support project managers with financial reporting and forecasting.

Build strong relationships through collaboration with clients, subcontractors, and project partners.

What We’re Looking For

5-7+ years'' experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally within a Civils Contractor environment.

Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.

Strong knowledge of contract frameworks (e.g., NEC, FIDIC) and cost management practices.

Accuracy, independence, and excellent negotiation skills.

Experience mentoring junior QS or leading a small team is a plus.
