Senior Quantity Surveyor

We''re looking for an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a leading infrastructure business delivering complex engineering projects across the Taunton and Bristol region.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced commercial professional to take ownership of high-value contracts, lead commercial activities throughout the project lifecycle and help drive project profitability within a successful and collaborative commercial team.

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you''ll be responsible for:

• Leading commercial reporting, claims and contractual documentation.

• Managing subcontractor procurement, valuations, variations, compensation events, claims and final accounts.

• Monitoring commercial risks and implementing mitigation strategies.

• Driving cost control and maximising project profitability.

• Producing commercial forecasts, financial reports and cost value reconciliations.

• Providing commercial support and advice to Project Managers and Business Unit Managers.

• Maintaining commercial records and ensuring contractual compliance.

• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

• Mentoring junior commercial staff where required.

• Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental standards.

You''ll have:

• Extensive Senior Quantity Surveying experience within infrastructure, rail, utilities or civil engineering.

• Strong knowledge of NEC contracts and compensation events.

• Excellent commercial and contractual management skills.

• Experience managing high-value subcontractor accounts.

• Strong leadership, negotiation and stakeholder management abilities.

• A proactive approach with excellent commercial judgement.

• -550 per day (negotiable for the right candidate).

• Long-term contract.

• Major infrastructure projects.

• Hybrid working with a minimum of 3 days per week on site.
