Senior Quantity Surveyor

GVR Solutions are working with a well-established and growing specialist drylining and interior contractor, based in Essex delivering high-quality projects across the commercial, residential, education, healthcare and high-end interiors sectors. Due to continued growth and a strong forward order book, they are looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute QS who understands the specialist subcontracting environment and is looking for a long-term position with a progressive and reputable contractor. Key responsibilities of the Senior Quantity Surveyor will include: Managing the commercial and contractual aspects of multiple projects. Preparing, submitting and agreeing interim valuations and payment applications. Managing variations, change control and associated commercial negotiations. Reviewing and agreeing subcontractor and supplier accounts. Preparing cost reports, forecasts and cash-flow projections. Monitoring project costs against budgets and identifying commercial risks and opportunities. Managing applications, payments and final accounts. Negotiating and agreeing variations and claims with clients and main contractors. Reviewing contracts, specifications and project documentation. Supporting project teams with commercial and contractual advice. Maintaining accurate commercial records and reporting regularly to senior management.
