Senior Quantity Surveyor

Our client is seeking an experienced and commercially driven Senior Quantity Surveyor with a strong background in overhead cabling and substation projects to support the delivery of major power and utilities infrastructure programmes across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity to take a leading commercial role on complex, high-value energy projects within a growing and dynamic consultancy environment.The RoleAs a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial and contractual management of projects from early-stage development through to final account. Working across overhead line and substation schemes, you will provide expert commercial support to ensure projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and within budget.You will act as a key interface between the client, project teams, and supply chain, ensuring robust cost control, effective contract administration, and proactive risk management throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the commercial management of overhead cabling and substation projectsDevelop and manage detailed cost plans, budgets, and forecasts aligned with project objectivesMonitor project costs and performance, providing accurate reporting and variance analysisAdminister contracts (NEC, JCT, or similar), including management of compensation events and change controlSupport procurement strategies, including tender preparation, evaluation, and contract awardManage subcontractor accounts, including payments, ..... full job details .....
