Remote, UK coverageWe are seeking a Technical Assessor experienced in manufacturing coke oven products.As an external Technical Assessor, you will play a vital role in the UKAS assessment process, providing expertise to ensure robust evaluations in Coke and Refinery sectors.This role offers a unique opportunity for industry professionals to develop skills and advance their careers while contributing to UKAS assessments.Manufacture of coke oven products, coke and semi-coke, pitch and pitch coke, oven gas, crude coal, lignite tars, and coke agglomeration.Understanding of manufacturing processes for coke and refined petroleum products, including environmental considerations.Production of motor fuels, gasoline, kerosene, etc.Production of various fuels like light, medium, and heavy fuel oils, and refinery gases such as ethane, propane, butane.Manufacture of oil-based products for petrochemicals and road coverings.Manufacture of petroleum briquettes and biofuels blending.Additional on-site understanding of:Carbonisation processesDistillation from ligniteMineral oil production and safetyEnvironmental legislation and impactsCoke production and by-productsCrude coal productionCandidates should ideally have a degree in organic chemistry, but extensive relevant experience will also be considered.For more details, visit:UKAS Careers - Technical AssessorsCandidate privacy notice:
