Job Description:We are seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Manager specializing in Coke and Refinery (Technical Assessor). This is a contract role based remotely with UK coverage.

The role involves providing expertise in manufacturing coke oven products, playing a critical part in the UKAS assessment process. Our external Technical Assessors are essential for delivering thorough assessments in the Coke and Refinery sector.

This position offers a unique opportunity for industry professionals to enhance their skills and advance their careers by working alongside UKAS.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess manufacturing processes related to coke oven products, coke and semi-coke, pitch, oven gas, crude coal, lignite tars, and coke agglomeration.

Understand environmental aspects and impacts of manufacturing coke and refined petroleum products.

Evaluate production of motor fuels, gasoline, kerosene, and refinery gases such as ethane, propane, butane.

Review manufacturing of oil-based products for petrochemical and road construction industries.

Assess biofuel blending processes.

Gain on-site understanding of processes like carbonization, distillation of tar from lignite, mineral oil production, coke production, and by-products.

Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and environmental legislation.

Qualifications:The ideal candidate will hold a degree in organic chemistry or have extensive relevant experience.
