QA Lead - 6-week contract - £500 p/d (Outside IR35) - London (hybrid) – Restaurant/retail/travel industry backgroundExperienced QA Lead needed to support a high-profile digital app release for a major restaurant client. This role requires full ownership of QA oversight, ensuring the product is thoroughly tested, validated, and ready for release. You’ll work closely with the third-party development and testing provider as well as internal teams to coordinate end-to-end testing and provide clear communication and reporting to stakeholders.This is not a purely technical test engineer role – the focus is on leading the process, managing communication, and ensuring delivery. The QA Lead will drive QA strategy, with a strong emphasis on user experience, engagement, and overall quality.Key Responsibilities

Oversee and validate QA activity delivered by the third party.Own end-to-end testing and sign-off, from vendor outputs through to internal validation.Manage internal beta distribution of the app, collating feedback and issues.Provide clear reporting, communication, and stakeholder updates on release readiness.Focus on app user experience, engagement, and quality throughout the testing cycle.Skills and Experience

Restaurant/retail/travel industry background requiredStrong background in mobile app QA and release readiness.Experience leading QA processes across third-party vendors and internal teams.Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset suited to a short-term assignment.Ability to balance structured QA process with hands-on involvement where required.Duration
