£75,000 – £85,000 + Package | Regional Main Contractor

Kingston Barnes is recruiting on behalf of a leading regional main contractor that delivers a wide range of high-quality building projects across the South West, South East and surrounding areas. With a strong pipeline of secured work, they are now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team.

Our client is a privately-owned regional contractor with a fantastic reputation for delivering high-quality projects across sectors including commercial, education, healthcare, residential, and heritage. The Role

As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will take full commercial responsibility for managing projects from pre-construction through to final account. Typical schemes range from £5m - £20m, across a variety of sectors.

Your duties will include:

• Leading commercial activities across allocated projects
• Managing cost reporting, valuations, payments, and change control
• Overseeing procurement and ensuring best value
• Working closely with operational teams to ensure successful delivery
• Building and maintaining strong client and supply chain relationships
• Supporting and mentoring junior commercial team members

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience working as a Senior QS for a main contractor
• Track record delivering new build, design & build, and traditional build schemes
• Strong commercial acumen and contractual knowledge
• Ability to manage multiple projects or a large standalone scheme
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills
