Joining our well-established and dynamic team as a Senior Public Health Practitioner for Alcohol and Drugs, you''ll be supported to develop your career in Public Health. You''ll play a vital role in addressing health inequalities and preventing ill-health in our communities by delivering key ambitions within our Public Health Strategy. As part of the wider Hampshire Public Health team, you''ll work in a collaborative and innovative environment that values continuous improvement and impact. What you''ll do: Lead and deliver four key public health programmes within the alcohol and drug portfolio that includes: Focus on children and young people. Commissioning work in education settings and reviewing a wider offer of support; identifying and developing responses to specific high-risk groups e.g. young people at risk of exclusion, young people in the criminal justice system and pathways for early intervention for children and young people. Prevention and early intervention. This includes system wide improvements to reduce alcohol and drug related harm; development and commissioning of training programmes for the wider workforce; oversight of communications and engagement with the public. Alcohol licensing. Fulfilling public health responsibilities around alcohol licensing including partnership working with districts, police and trading standards.
