The All England Club is seeking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to play a leading role in the development of its iconic estate portfolio.
The All England Lawn Tennis Club (AELTC) is best known as the host of The Championships, Wimbledon, the world’s oldest Grand Slam tennis tournament. The AELTC has a rich history and tradition, offering world-class facilities and maintaining the highest standards of excellence. The Club is dedicated to promoting the sport and ensuring the continued success of the Championships, which attract the world''s best players and millions of fans each year.
The AELTC has ambitious plans for the development and enhancement of its estate, which will have a transformative impact on The Championships while creating year-round benefits for the local community. Currently, capital investment is running at between £40m and £60m, with current projects including the major transformation of the Millennium Building and upcoming projects including the Clubhouse refurbishment, hospitality enhancements for No.1 Court and a striking new front façade for Centre Court.
ResponsibilitiesThis is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and motivated individual to play a leading role in delivering a diverse range of projects that will enable a world-class user experience. Reporting to the Head of Project Delivery, the Senior Project Manager takes a leadership role within the Project Delivery team, responsible for managing their own £multi-million portfolio of projects, as well as overseeing a portfolio of projects delivered by Project Managers in the team.
QualificationsWe are seeking an individual with a proven track record of leading a £multi-million portfolio of projects from inception to completion in a project/programme leadership role. Experience of delivering projects in a high-pace, dynamic, live operational environment is essential, with experience of commercial, hospitality and public realm projects being highly advantageous.
To be successful in the role you will possess a high degree of commercial acumen honed in the construction industry, whilst having a high level of commitment to delivering best practice design and sustainability standards in projects. We are seeking a person that has a high level of enthusiasm, motivation and excellent interpersonal skills, as well as demonstrable experience of leading and developing team members.
