About the RoleThe Senior Programme Advisor (SPA) in the Asia team focuses on delivering a large 3-year corporate partnership started in June 2024. The programme concentrates on freshwater issues in Asia (with emphasis on India, China, and Pakistan) and palm oil production in Indonesia. The programme also has strong advocacy and learning components and is testing new approaches such as insetting.

Responsibilities

Coordinate and, when possible, lead on all programmatic input – including technical, financial, MandE – and oversee coordination and facilitation of other partnership delivery needs including advocacy and communications, science, learning and knowledge sharing.

Work as part of an Asia Regional Unit, in direct collaboration with the Senior Relationship Manager in the Corporate Partnerships team.

Provide overall coordination of the partnership components (on-the-ground conservation in 5 geographies, advocacy and communications, research, learning and knowledge exchange) ensuring coherence with the overarching Theory of Change.

Offer strategic programmatic leadership and advisory support on conservation work, with a stronger focus on India and Indonesia.

Identify additional areas for programmatic development based on an understanding of the corporate partnerships ambition.

Liaise with the Senior Relationship Manager to represent programmatic needs and ensure alignment between Conservation Programmes and Corporate Partnerships for effective delivery.

Convene and facilitate stakeholder engagement for effective partnership delivery, including networks, colleagues across WWF-UK, the wider WWF Network, and external organisations where appropriate.

Coordinate with the wider WWF Network to support delivery of network ambitions, in alignment with WWF-UK’s goals and mutual benefits through the partnership.

Oversee overarching programme management of international grants within the partnership portfolio.

On-the-ground conservation programmes are implemented by network partner offices. The focus of this UK-based role is to ensure that all programmes are well designed, quality assured, contribute to the partnership’s theory of change, and that risks are managed while providing strategic advice and addressing resource and capacity gaps across geographic regions.

This role is hybrid and you’ll be required to be in the office 20% of contracted hours. The job is based at the Living Planet Centre in Woking, Surrey.
