SCS'' Greenhouse Gas Verification Program has been verifying carbon offsets since 2008 and to date has verified nearly 400 million tonnes of CO2e, providing GHG verification services to a wide array of industries including manufacturing, transportation, municipalities, and non-profit organizations. Buyers of SCS-verified offsets include several Fortune 100 companies and SCS is a recognized thought leader in the carbon and climate change communities.The Senior Program Manager, GHG Forestry is responsible for the successful operation and smart growth of Carbon Offset Verification related to nature-based solutions, including forestry and land-use projects and programs.The main areas of responsibility include program operations, financial management, and staff management. The Senior Program Manager also provides oversight of program quality and supports business development. This position collaborates with colleagues within the Climate division, including leadership, technical teams, marketing, and sales. Additionally, the Senior Program Manager may represent SCS at relevant industry meetings and tradeshows, as needed.Relevant Standards/Schemes

Master\''s Degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Financial Management, or a related field and5+ years of professional experience in a related field and2+ years of experience in program management with a focus on program operationsComplete fluency in English with work experience that involves professional written and verbal communicationStrong leadership, organization, and prioritization skillsProficient with business software including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Sales CRM systemsStrong customer service and teamwork orientationInitiative, good judgment, and ability to work independently under pressure in a changing environmentPreferred Qualifications
ARB-accredited Lead Verifier for the Compliance Offset Protocol—US Forest ProjectsCalifornia Registered Professional Forester or Certified ForesterQuantitative skills with an emphasis on business data analyticsExperience and strong knowledge within the environmental sustainability industry, specifically third-party certificationEstablished network in the carbon offset communityKnowledge and skills in community engagementForeign language skills (Spanish and Portuguese are especially helpful)Ability to lead an auditDomestic or international forestry/natural resource experienceInternational travel experienceThe above description is intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
