London Early Years Foundation (LEYF) is hiring a Senior Payroll Analyst for a full-time role in London. Hours: 40 per week. Salary: £40,000 per annum. The payroll function was brought in-house 18 months ago, and we’re looking to take it to the next level with your help. You’ll join a friendly, hardworking payroll team, reporting to the Payroll and Compensation Manager and supporting the development of others."We’re building something great — and there’s real freedom here to shape how we do things."What you’ll be doing
Run monthly payroll from start to finish – process information such as time/attendance, new starters, leavers, promotions, secondments and other manual payroll updatesPrepare payroll reports and journal entries, and work closely with Finance on reconciliationsCollaborate with HR and business stakeholders to ensure everything runs smoothly and people feel supportedAnalyse data to spot patterns, solve problems, and improve accuracyLook for ways to automate and improve how we work – and help make them happenBe a key person for our pension processes and support benefit adminMentor junior team members and help build capability across the teamStay up to date with payroll legislation and ensure we’re always compliantHandle sensitive data with professionalism and careWhat we’re looking for
Experienced in payroll, ideally with a CIPP qualification or equivalentConfident with Excel and keen to learn new systems and toolsAnalytical, organised, and great at connecting the dotsCalm under pressure and able to meet immovable deadlinesA natural problem-solver who enjoys improving processesFriendly, proactive, and able to challenge constructivelyComfortable working with sensitive data and maintaining confidentialityA team player who’s excited to make a differenceWhy you’ll love it here
