Paid Overtime AvailableThe OpportunityWe are currently supporting a large public sector organisation responsible for delivering critical operational services across Scotland. They are seeking an experienced Senior Operational Communications Engineer to join their specialist technology team on an initial 6-month contract.This role will focus on supporting and enhancing mission-critical communications infrastructure, ensuring essential operational systems remain available, secure and fully functional.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide expert 3rd line support across operational communications platforms.Lead the investigation and resolution of complex technical incidents.Support the maintenance, monitoring and enhancement of critical communications systems.Contribute to system upgrades, life cycle management and continuous improvement initiatives.Assist with disaster recovery, business continuity and resilience planning.Mentor and provide technical guidance to other engineers within the team.Participate in a 24/7 on-call support rota.Experience RequiredWe''re interested in speaking with candidates who have experience supporting one or more of the following:TETRA or radio communications systemsControl room environmentsMobilisation or dispatch platformsTelephony and VoIP technologiesAirwave or ESN environmentsVHF/UHF radio systemsSatellite ..... full job details .....
