Snr Operational Comms Engineer | 6 Month Contract | (Outside IR35) | Hybrid, 2-3 days pw Glasgow| Starting ASAP Day Rate: £350About the role:Harvey Nash''s public sector client is looking for a Snr Operational Comms EngineerYou will:Lead the support, monitoring, maintenance, and development of operational communications systems using ITIL best practices. Manage incidents, service requests, changes, problems, capacity management, and life cycle management of communications infrastructure. Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentoring to engineers and direct reports. Undertake line management duties including workload allocation, performance management, leave management, and staff development.Lead documentation, disaster recovery, business continuity, innovation, and procurement activities. Deliver third-line support for critical systems including:Control Room systemsMobilising systemsAirwave Firelink and MDTsVHF/UHF radio systemsTETRA communicationsPaging systemsSatellite communicationsTelephony systems Essential CriteriaHND in Digital Technology, Electronic Engineering, or related discipline.Extensive technical knowledge and experience supporting operational communications technologies and control systems.Ability and willingness to learn new technologies.Experience providing technical leadership and support to junior colleagues.
