KO2''s client is recruiting for a Senior New Product Introduction Engineer in Newmarket. You''ll be the critical bridge between design engineering and manufacturing operations, working on novel automotive robot systems breaking boundaries in the safety arena. You''ll work alongside one of the most experienced mechanical engineers on the market who will be an invaluable mentor.

You''ll coordinate the successful introduction of new and modified products into manufacture. This encompasses design for manufacturing analysis, tolerance studies, prototype development and feedback to design. You''ll work directly on the shop floor supporting manufacturing and assembly teams, understanding production constraints and facilitating solutions. You''ll manage comprehensive documentation, DFMEAs, PFMEAs and service bulletins with absolute traceability and configuration control. Customer quality issues and field engineering feedback are your responsibility. You''ll oversee the pilot production phase before full market release.

You''ll have genuine engineering background with proven experience in new product introduction, manufacturing engineering or design engineering with substantial manufacturing exposure. You need to understand manufacturing processes from the ground up: lathes, mills, cutting, welding, assembly and jig design. CAD skills must be solid. Most importantly, you need to be an exceptional communicator. You''ll be someone who can engage confidently with both design teams and shop floor personnel. You''re methodical, detail-oriented and solve problems pragmatically. Knowledge of military standards would be beneficial but capability to upskill rapidly is essential.

Location: Newmarket, Norfolk

Salary: -65,000 to -70,000 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Holiday: 22 days annual leave plus 8 public holidays plus 1 birthday day

Working Arrangement: 100% onsite
