Senior Mechanical Engineer £75,000 £80,000 per annum Monday to Friday - 9:00am 5:00pm 25 days annual leave + public bank holidays Based on site at West Thurrock Pin Point Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join a well-established chemical manufacturing organisation at its West Thurrock site. This is a key engineering position, acting as the group focal point for mechanical engineering and supporting the safe, reliable and efficient operation of plant and equipment. The role will cover a broad range of mechanical equipment, including pipework, pressure vessels, rotating equipment, heat exchangers, boilers and air compressors. The successful candidate will ideally have senior mechanical engineering experience within Chemical, Oil and Gas or a similar Upper Tier COMAH environment, together with experience of mechanical integrity, reliability engineering and delivering large-scale capital projects. The Role Lead mechanical engineering activities across the West Thurrock site and provide support across the wider UK group. Provide technical expertise across mechanical equipment, piping and plant modifications. Support the design, installation and commissioning of new equipment and engineering projects. Work closely with maintenance and inspection teams to improve plant reliability and equipment performance. Develop and improve mechanical engineering standards, specifications and procedures.
