Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work on a permanent or long term contract basis in Chorley/Hybrid. The role is working 4 days'' per week, Monday to Thursday. Typically 2 days'' in the office and 2 days'' from home. Rates are 45-47 Ltd per hour (or Umbrella/PAYE equivalent) or 38,140 to 49,440 per annum plus 25 days'' holiday and bank holidays, pension, healthcare etc. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing detailed engineering designs, producing manufacturing documentation and ensuring all outputs meet the required technical, safety and quality standards. This position would suit an engineer with a strong mechanical design background, experience using 3D CAD software and the ability to take designs from initial concept through to detailed development, manufacture and installation. About the Senior Mechanical Design Engineer To be considered for this position, you should have: A recognised Level 4 engineering qualification, such as an HNC, in a relevant engineering discipline. Experience developing engineering designs using suitable 3D CAD software. The ability to produce and check detailed manufacturing and assembly drawings. Knowledge of engineering standards, design verification and technical compliance. An understanding of manufacturing processes and the practical requirements of assembly, installation and maintenance.
