Senior Management Accountant

We are partnering with a well-established business in Halifax. Reporting into senior leadership, the Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting the day-to-day finance function and providing accurate financial reporting and commercial insight to aid business decision-making. The successful candidate will be hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working within a fast-paced operational environment.Key responsibilities will include;Preparation of monthly management accountsBalance sheet reconciliationsAccruals and prepaymentsBudgeting and forecasting supportVariance analysis and reportingCash-flow monitoringVAT returns and statutory reportingAssisting with year-end accounts preparationSupporting payroll processes where requiredProducing financial reports and KPI analysis for managementIdentifying opportunities to improve financial controls and processesSupporting the wider finance team with day-to-day accounting activitiesIdeally you will be able to demonstrate the below qualifications/experience:ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experiencePrevious experience within a Management Accountant or similar finance rolePossesses strong analytical and Excel skillsExcellent attention to detailProactive and commercially awareAbility to wear many hats to support the wider businessCan work independently and as part of a collaborative teamExperience within automotive, retail, engineering, or manufacturing environments would be advantageous but ..... full job details .....
