M&E Quantity Surveyor
Location: Central London
Salary: £85,000–£120,000 + Excellent Benefits
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced M&E Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established M&E contractor delivering major projects across Central London.
The successful candidate will work on high-value data centre, commercial, and life science projects, ranging from £20m to £50m in overall project value.
Due to continued growth and a strong project pipeline, the company is looking to appoint multiple M&E Quantity Surveyors, from intermediate through to Senior level. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with long-term career prospects and exposure to some of the most technically demanding projects in the sector.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the commercial and financial aspects of M&E packages across major construction projects.
- Prepare, manage, and review valuations, variations, applications, and payments.
- Manage subcontractor accounts and ensure commercial performance is maintained.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
- Review and negotiate subcontractor packages and procurement strategies.
- Identify commercial risks and opportunities throughout the project lifecycle.
- Prepare and manage monthly commercial reports.
- Assess variations, change control, and potential additional costs.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Commercial Managers, Contracts Managers, and site teams.
- Ensure contractual obligations and commercial deadlines are met.
- Assist with final accounts and project close-out.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, consultants, and suppliers.
- Provide commercial support and guidance to project teams.
- Proven experience as an M&E Quantity Surveyor within the construction or M&E sector.
- Experience working on major commercial, data centre, life science, or technically complex projects.
- Strong understanding of M&E subcontract packages and commercial management.
- Experience managing projects or packages valued at £20m+.
- Strong knowledge of valuations, variations, procurement, subcontract management, and final accounts.
- Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively with project and site teams.
- Candidates from Quantity Surveyor through to Senior Quantity Surveyor level will be considered.
- Salary: £85,000–£120,000, depending on experience and seniority.
