Senior Machining Technician

Our client, a prominent player in the aerospace sector, is seeking a skilled Machining Technician to join their dynamic team for a temporary contract. This role presents an exciting opportunity to contribute to advanced CNC machining operations while being part of a renowned organisation that specialises in innovative aerospace solutions. Summary: Start date: ASAP Duration: 6 months with potential for longer Location: Leighton Buzzard Pay Rate: £28.80 per hour Hours: 39 hours per week: Monday to Thursday 15:00-00:00 and Friday 12:00-17:00 As a Machining Technician, you will be responsible for: Pre-Manufacturing Activities: Performing Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to guarantee machine reliability. Reviewing and prioritising work orders to align with production plans. Validating technical documentation, drawings, and specifications. Conducting detailed machine setups following standard procedures. Proving out new and existing CNC programmes, ensuring first-off/first article validation. Completing self-inspection and verification prior to quality submission. Manufacturing Execution: Operating CNC machinery (3- and 5-axis) to produce precision aerospace components. Monitoring production runs to uphold quality and process standards. Diagnosing and resolving real-time machining issues, whether tooling, programming, or process related.
