Senior Integration Engineer

Job Description

Cititec is partnering with a leading global commodities trading firm to hire a Senior Integration Engineer. You''ll design and build scalable, high-performance integration solutions that connect complex trading systems and data flows critical to business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain integration architectures using Java (Spring Boot) and middleware

Build and manage RESTful APIs and data pipelines for real-time trading information

Optimize messaging systems like Kafka for low latency and high throughput

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, resilient integration solutions

Troubleshoot and resolve complex integration issues swiftly

Drive continuous improvements in integration patterns and practices

What You Need:

8+ years in Java backend development and enterprise integration

Strong knowledge of microservices, event-driven design, and messaging platforms

Experience with Kafka and API development (REST/GraphQL)

Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases

Good understanding of CI/CD, containerisation, and cloud- integration (AWS, Azure, GCP)

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Commodity trading or financial services experience a plus
