Senior Automation Engineer

to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract, and own the architecture and development of new integrations and automation solutions. This role requires a strong technical leader with experience in low-code platforms, TypeScript, and SQL, who can drive system efficiency while managing a cross-functional engineering team. You will be responsible for optimising data flows, enhancing backend integrations, and supporting Ecommerce re-platforming initiatives.REPORTS TOHead of TechnologyDIRECT REPORTSRESPONSIBILITIESLead and manage a cross-functional team of Engineers, ensuring effective collaboration and performanceDesign and implement data flow architectures between diverse backend systems and external providersDevelop new system integrations utilizing low-code platforms and TypeScriptWrite and optimize SQL queries to extract, migrate, and validate data integrity.Deliver a robust infrastructure to support eCommerce re-platforming initiatives and enable future automation strategiesIdentify and escalate potential risks or issues that could impact project delivery timelinesBreak down the project requirements into actionable tasks and maintain visibility on the Kanban boardPartner with Project Managers to align on project progress, priorities, and deliverablesSKILLS, EXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONSHands-on involvement in at least one project utilizing fuzzy-matching logic within systemsStrong problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate challenges from multiple perspectives and identify optimal solutions based on time constraints and impactExceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to clearly articulate complex technical concepts to a non-technical audienceWe are committed to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion in everything we do.Seniority level
