Senior Geotechnical Engineer
Location: Birmingham
Salary: -40,000 - -55,000 (depending on experience)

An established and talented engineering consultancy is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join their growing team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking to take on greater technical responsibility while working on a diverse portfolio of geotechnical and ground engineering projects.

You will play a key role in the delivery of ground investigation and geotechnical design projects across a range of sectors including residential, commercial, infrastructure, and industrial developments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing and delivering geotechnical site investigations

• Producing and reviewing geotechnical interpretative reports (GIR) and factual reports

• Geotechnical analysis and design including foundations, earthworks and slope stability

• Supervising and mentoring junior engineers and site staff

• Liaising with clients, contractors and project teams

• Assisting with project management including budgets and programme delivery

Requirements:

• Degree in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or a related discipline

• Typically 5+ years'' experience within a geotechnical consultancy or ground engineering environment

• Strong experience in geotechnical reporting and design

• Experience managing ground investigations and supervising site works

• Working towards or already achieved Chartered status (ICE or Geological Society) would be beneficial

• Full UK driving licence
