Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Birmingham

We are working with a small to medium-sized multidisciplinary consultancy in Birmingham that is looking to appoint a Senior Geotechnical Engineer. The company operates across civil, structural, geotechnical and planning disciplines, delivering work on a range of commercial and residential developments.

This role would suit a Senior Geotechnical Engineer who is comfortable managing their own projects and contributing to a collaborative team.

The role

• Managing and overseeing ground investigations
• Producing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports
• Carrying out foundation design, retaining wall design and slope stability assessments
• Working alongside civil and structural engineers on shared projects
• Liaising with clients, contractors and other stakeholders
• Supporting junior members of the team

Requirements

• Experience in a Senior Geotechnical Engineer position or similar
• Good understanding of UK ground conditions and investigation techniques
• Experience in geotechnical design and report writing
• Able to manage workload and communicate effectively
• Relevant degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology or Civil Engineering
