Our client in North London are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Officer to join their team and play a crucial role in their Finance/VAT operations. Position: Senior Finance OfficerLocation: North LondonSalary: £41,442 - £44,331 per annumHours: Monday - Friday / 9am - 5pm Contract: PermanentHybrid: 2 days a month in the office!Key Responsibilities Completion of the monthly VAT claims including accuracy checks and sample testing. Completion of the monthly CIS returns. HMRC and VAT queries. Monitoring and reporting on financial controls. Completion of the annual Statement of Accounts and associated processes. Finance systems maintenance support and resilience. Completion of government and other statutory returns. Balance sheet and other reconciliations. Job Requirements Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar public sector organisation. At least 2 years experience within a Senior Finance Officer or equivalent. CCAB or CIMA part or fully qualified is desirable. Experience of year end closing processes and dealing with audit queries. Excellent IT skills, experience and knowledge including Microsoft packages, specifically strong Excel skills and finance systems.
