We are recruiting a Senior Facilities Technician to join our client who are a leading food distribution company undergoing a significant period of growth

As part of or clients wider growth across the island of Ireland, this role will support the safe, efficient, and smooth operation of a brand new and high tech facility.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with good facilities electrical/ mechanical knowledge who like to take their career forward in to a Lead Facilities role

Approximately 50/50 hands on facilities work, also working with a BMS system and coordinating contractors to ensure facilities run efficiently at all times.

Core hours Monday to Friday 8 - 5

The Role

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the site and equipment. This is a varied, hands-on role requiring both mechanical and electrical expertise and the ability to manage routine and reactive tasks across the facility.

  • Operating and maintaining heating plant and equipment
  • Electro-mechanical troubleshooting and fault logging
  • General facilities maintenance, including fixtures, plumbing, and fittings
  • Supporting HVAC, access control and water systems maintenance
  • Carrying out planned preventative maintenance tasks
  • Completing checklists and logging actions on the CMMS system
  • Supporting compliance and documentation for regulatory inspections
  • Assisting and supervising external contractors
  • Providing emergency response and occasional out-of-hours support

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for a flexible and skilled technician who thrives in a fast-paced facilities environment.

  • Relevant trade qualification in Mechanical, Electrical or Facilities discipline
  • At least 3 years'' post-apprenticeship experience in a similar role
  • Mechanical and electrical maintenance experience
  • Familiarity with PPM systems, HVAC and MHE
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent awareness of quality, health and safety
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to build effective cross-functional relationships
  • Team-oriented, with a hands-on and responsive attitude
