Senior Estimator - Flooring role at Netwerk Adviseurs. Permanent Estimator - Birmingham/Remote. Project: Various commercial and residential flooring projects, from luxury developments to large-scale refurbishments. Location: Birmingham, West Midlands. Job Type: Permanent. Reporting into: Directors.The company is a well-established flooring contractor with over 30 years of experience in providing flooring and ceramic tiling services across the UK. They specialise in a wide range of flooring products including impervious carpets, vinyl sheets, luxury vinyl tiles (LVT), timber and laminate flooring, ceramic and stone tiles, slip resistant vinyl, and sports flooring across commercial, healthcare, education, retail, leisure, and residential markets.The Opportunity

We are seeking a highly experienced Estimator to play a key role in the commercial team. You will develop accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of flooring projects across commercial and residential sectors, from upscale luxury developments to extensive refurbishment initiatives. The role requires close collaboration with project teams to support successful bids and contribute to the delivery of high-quality flooring solutions.What We\''re Looking For

Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working with a reputable flooring contractorProven track record as an Estimator in flooring and soft flooring; ceramic tiling experience is an advantage but not essentialProficiency with Callidus or similar digital estimating softwareKey Skills

Analytical thinkingStrong negotiation capabilitiesEfficient time management abilitiesAdvanced numerical skills with keen commercial insightTeamwork and mentorship abilitiesUnderstanding of construction practices, regulations, and cost factorsStrong written and verbal communication with excellent attention to detailUnderstanding of the estimating process using computerized analytical systems to create accurate project cost estimatesProficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Key Responsibilities

Commercial reportingAssist with procurement processesGather pricing elements to form tender sumsIdentify potential business opportunities within project scopesSupervise bid activities and deliver status reports to stakeholdersComplete quantity take-offs from drawings to ensure accurate material ordersReview and measure quantities from drawings (electronic and paper)Establish and implement preconstruction cost budgets to support planning and deliveryCollaborate with operations leads to gather preliminary workbooksCoordinate with Directors and trainees to share expertiseManage multiple tenders as size and complexity allowPrepare BOQ and pricing documents aligned with project specsPrepare structured and compliant tender submissionsPrepare precise cost estimates for flooring projects with competitive pricingAnalyze technical specifications for accuracy and complianceParticipate in tender adjudication ensuring alignment with approvals and objectivesLead estimating and proposals teams to ensure viable bidsAnalyze responses for contractual and technical complianceCreate comprehensive estimates by planning labour, sequencing tasks, procuring materials, and securing favorable termsWhy Join?
