We are seeking a highly experienced Estimator to play a key role as a part of the commercial team, you will be responsible for developing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a wide range of flooring projects, encompassing both commercial and residential sectors, from upscale luxury developments to extensive refurbishment initiatives. The role requires close collaboration with project teams to support successful bids and contribute to the smooth delivery of high-quality flooring solutions across diverse sectors.What We''re Looking For

Experience:Extensive background within the industry with at least 5 years of experience working with reputable flooring contractorProven track record as an Estimator in flooring and soft flooring, with ceramic tiling experience considered an advantage but not essentialProficiency with Callidus or similar digital estimating software.Key Skills:Analytical thinkingStrong negotiation capabilitiesEfficient time management abilitiesAdvanced numerical skills combined with keen commercial insightSkilled at teamwork and providing mentorship to junior team membersA deep understanding of construction practices, regulations, and cost factorsStrong communication abilities, written and verbal with an excellent attention to detailIn-depth understanding of the estimating process, using computerized analytical systems to create accurate project cost estimatesProficient in utilising the Microsoft Office suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to enhance efficiency and support project tasksKey Responsibilities

Commercial reportingAssist to the procurement processesCollection of pricing elements to form tender sumIdentify potential business opportunities within project scopesSupervise bid activities and deliver comprehensive status reports to stakeholdersComplete quantity take offs from drawings to ensure accurate ordering of materialsReviewing and measuring quantities from both electronic and paper-based drawingsEstablish and implement preconstruction cost budgets to support project planning and deliveryResponsible for gathering and organising preliminary workbooks in collaboration with operations leadsCollaborate with Directors and trainees to share expertise and enhance in-house skills and capabilitiesManaging the preparation of more than one tender at any one time (depending on size and complexity)Compile comprehensive BOQ and pricing documents in alignment with project specifications and scopePrepare structured and compliant tender submissions to secure new contracts and business opportunitiesPrepare precise cost estimates for flooring projects, delivering competitive pricing without compromising on qualityConduct thorough analysis and review of technical specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirementsParticipate in the tender adjudication process, ensuring decisions align with set approval limits and business objectivesLead the estimating and proposals teams, ensuring bids are commercially viable and submitted with the highest quality standardsCarry out comprehensive analysis of responses to confirm compliance with contractual and technical expectationsCreate comprehensive estimates in line with project goals by planning labour hours, organising task sequences, procuring materials, and securing favorable terms from vendors and subcontractors.Why Join?
