We’re now looking for a Senior Estimator to lead our pricing and pre-construction function, playing a pivotal role in shaping the success of our bids and the future of our pipeline.Why this role?Because this is your chance to be part of a company that:Empowers change in the communities we work withValues expertise and gives you space to lead with confidenceBuilds long-term relationships based on trust, collaboration, and performanceYou’ll work closely with our pre construction team and operational leads to ensure our pricing is sharp, competitive, and aligned with our uncompromising standards.What you’ll be doingLeading the preparation of accurate, commercially sound cost estimates and tender submissionsSupport in the management of pre-construction processes across a range of public sector refurbishment and energy efficiency projectsReviewing tender documentation and developing cost plans and methodologiesWorking with internal stakeholders to identify risks, innovations, and value-engineering opportunitiesCoordinating supplier and subcontractor pricingPresenting tender strategies and outcomes to senior leadershipHelping mentor and develop junior team membersWhat we’re looking forWe’re after a strategic thinker and a detail-driven professional – a confident estimator with sharp commercial instincts, deep industry knowledge, and the drive to deliver work that stands up to scrutiny and makes a real impact.You’ll bring:Proven experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator in construction/refurbishmentA solid understanding of housing retrofit, refurbishment or social housing frameworksStrong analytical and technical ability – plus clear written and verbal communicationExperience working with estimating software and ExcelA proactive mindset and the confidence to challenge assumptionsThe ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a high-trust environmentWhy join A.C.
