Senior or Principal Environmental Consultants

to join its growing Planning and Environmental Consenting team in London.This is a fantastic opportunity to work on nationally significant infrastructure projects across sectors including energy, water, rail, highways, and urban development-with growing international opportunities. You''ll join a multidisciplinary team of over 150 environmental professionals working at the forefront of environmental assessment and sustainable project delivery.This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in environmental coordination, assessment, and management, who is ready to take the next step in their career-leading Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA), working directly with major clients, mentoring junior team members, and shaping new areas of business.Responsibility:Lead and coordinate the delivery of environmental work, including Environmental Impact Assessments, environmental management plans, and options appraisals within multidisciplinary teams.Promote and uphold high environmental standards across all stages of engineering and infrastructure projects.Compile and edit technical content from a range of contributors into high-quality reports and deliverables.Maintain responsibility for delivering your own work and reviewing that of others to ensure technical excellence, on time and within budget.Build and manage relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor and ensuring their needs are met professionally.Support and lead on bid writing and business development initiatives to grow the environmental services offering.Contribute to mentoring and development of team members, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.Pursue ongoing professional development in line with the requirements of relevant chartered institutions.Requirements:A degree or master''s in an environmental or relevant science discipline.Substantial post-graduate experience, ideally within a consultancy setting.Chartered Environmentalist status through a relevant professional body (e.g., IEMA) is preferred.Strong knowledge of the EIA process and associated environmental technical disciplines.Proven leadership experience in coordinating multi-disciplinary teams.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong attention to detail in report writing and reviewing.Ability to manage workload effectively, prioritise tasks, and thrive in a high-paced, dynamic environment.Confident, proactive, and self-motivated with a strong commitment to delivering sustainable outcomes.Willingness to work flexibly, including from client offices or alternative locations as required.If you think you have the required experience to fit this role, please click ''Apply'' below to submit your cv for review.
