As a Senior Engineering Manager – Technical Performance and Risk, you’ll lead the global Independent Technical Review (ITR) programme, helping to shape how technical risks are identified, understood, and managed across Babcock’s engineering operations. You’ll play a key role in establishing performance metrics and supporting the Technical Risk Review Board (TRRB), driving continuous improvement and capability development across our defence, aerospace, and engineering projects. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role that offers the opportunity to influence technical governance and performance at a global scale. This full-time, permanent role is based at any of our offices in the UK, Canada or Australia, with flexible working patterns available. Managing and continuously improving the Independent Technical Review (ITR) processConducting ITRs globally and analysing themes, metrics, and risks to inform improvement initiativesDeveloping Technical Performance Metrics (TPMs) and implementing data capture solutionsSupporting the operation of the Technical Risk Review Board (TRRB), including reporting and secretariat dutiesEssential experience

Extensive background in systems engineeringProven experience conducting technical reviewsBroad experience across commercial and defence projectsStrong understanding of technical risk and performance managementQualifications

Chartered or Professional Engineer status with a recognised professional body, or ability to obtain within 12 months of joining.Security Clearance
