Senior Electrical Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Electrical Engineer to take a key role in driving plant reliability, throughput, and decarbonisation. This role will oversee daily plant operations, deliver effective maintenance strategies, and lead a small engineering team through coaching, mentoring, and development.

Key responsibilities include:

• Acting as the single point of contact for electrical management across designated plant areas.
  

• Ownership of the electrical budget, including planning and cost control.
  

• Preparing shutdown plans, managing contractors, and overseeing preventative maintenance activities.
  

• Developing and managing plant-wide maintenance strategies, including FMECA databases.
  

• Supporting new maintenance plan development in collaboration with the reliability team.
  

• Driving continuous improvement projects, including decarbonisation and throughput initiatives.
  

• Monitoring reactive maintenance trends and implementing solutions to prevent recurrence.
  

• Supporting both CAPEX and non-CAPEX projects.
  

• Line management of the Preventative Maintenance Engineer and Automation Engineer.
  

To succeed in this role, you will need:

• Proven experience in a similar electrical engineering position within a manufacturing environment.
  

• Strong technical knowledge of PLCs, automation, networking, SCADA, AC drive systems, and material handling systems.
  

• Experience in planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and continuous improvement techniques.
  

• People management skills, with the ability to develop and motivate a team.
  

• An organised, self-starting approach with a focus on innovation and improvement.
