Electrical Design Engineer - Building Services - CambridgeLocation: Cambridge Experience: 3-5 years Sector: Building Services / MEP EngineeringThe OpportunityAn established organisation within the building services sector is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join its project delivery team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong understanding of UK electrical regulations and building services design to contribute to a varied portfolio of projects.The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and coordinating electrical design solutions, ensuring compliance with relevant UK legislation and industry standards while delivering safe, efficient and sustainable building systems.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign electrical systems for building services projects, including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarms, security and associated infrastructure.Ensure designs comply with UK Building Regulations, IET Wiring Regulations (BS 7671) and relevant British Standards.Carry out electrical load calculations, diversity assessments, fault level calculations and cable sizing.Prepare and review technical specifications, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, design reports and cost estimates.Coordinate electrical design and modelling activities using AutoCAD, Revit MEP and other relevant software.Undertake site surveys and inspections to assess existing installations and verify compliance with design requirements.Prepare ..... full job details .....
