As a result of internal promotions within our service we are looking for committed Senior Educational Psychologists to join us in our work to shape the future of our educational psychology consultation service. The Westminster and Kensington and Chelsea Educational Psychology Consultation Service (WKC EPCS) is a visionary educational psychology service based at Kensington Town Hall in Central London. Benefitting from the experience of over 25 Educational Psychologists, trainees and support staff, we celebrate the rich variety of experience, expertise and approaches that exist within our team, and we have a strong history of embedding practice within our Consultation Practice Framework. As a Senior Educational and Child Psychologist, you will be a vital member of the leadership team, working under the direction of the Bi-borough Co-principal Educational Psychologists to support both strategic development and day-to-day operations. Your role will blend senior responsibilities with hands-on statutory and traded work.You will lead on key projects aligned to service priorities – this could include critical incident support, managing Service Level Agreements or supporting tribunal management.You will also support strategic developments across the bi-borough, working in close partnership with schools, families and wider professionals.One of your key responsibilities will be to supervise and line manage maingrade Educational Psychologists. Utilising reflective practice supervision, you will help develop confident, capable and compassionate practitioners.You will also contribute to ongoing work to embed inclusive, anti-racist and culturally competent practice, helping the service continue to challenge inequality and build trust with diverse communities.There will also be opportunities to join or lead specialist interest groups and to take forward new and ongoing areas of service development.For further details, please review the Job Description and Person Specification.You will bring
You will be a HCPC-registered practitioner psychologist with doctoral-level training (or equivalent) in educational and child psychology.You will also have at least four years\'' experience at a Professional or Senior grade level, including experience with operational management.You will have the ability to think strategically and develop the service\''s responses in a planned and logical manner, analyse complex problems and identify clear action plans, and communicate processes to enable strategic decisions.You will have excellent communication and organisational skills and you should be confident presenting complex ideas clearly to different audiences.Most of all, you will care deeply about equity, inclusion and the role of psychology in helping communities thrive.Why join us
