Overview
Reporting to the Creative Director, the Senior Designer is a key role in the creative team. We are a small team and you will work independently, managing multiple projects alongside an editor, as well as supporting more junior designers in the team.Responsibilities
Coming up with new book ideas and fresh design approachesDesigning multiple books from start to finishBriefing illustratorsWorking with editors to manage the timely delivery of projectsWorking with production to supply flawless print-ready PDFsMulti-tasking across several books at once, including sales materials, briefing illustrators, and mock-ups of spreadsCollaborating with production to ensure print quality and accuracyQualifications and Skills
Technologically proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)Experience in creating products with novelty elementsOrganised and able to juggle multiple tasks at onceExcellent written EnglishA demonstrable interest in preschool publishingExceptional attention to detailA demonstrable ability to think commercially and pitch new ideasDesirable Skills

Priddy Books was founded twenty-five years ago and has sold millions of books worldwide, including the bestseller series First 100 Words and See, Touch, Feel. This is a fixed-term opportunity for an experienced designer who enjoys creating innovative novelty books that include flaps, pops, sounds, and the newest novelty trends.You will be responsible for the creation of multiple books across each publishing season, from idea conception to print-ready PDFs, and will work closely with the production team.Location and Terms
