Senior Delivery Manager

Overview

Senior Delivery Manager role within The Very Group Technology function. You will lead the delivery of complex, high-risk products and services, applying delivery methodologies, coaching squads, and ensuring outcomes align with business benefits for customers.Responsibilities

Lead on-time, on-cost delivery for squads and initiatives; ensure alignment of stakeholders and timelines to achieve defined business benefits and outcomes for customers.Apply appropriate delivery approaches to initiatives, and coach and support squads.Work across business functions, managing multiple internal and external stakeholders, translating between technical and business stakeholders.Engage in the Technology portfolio; experience running technology programmes and projects; a strong technical background is advantageous.Build and maintain connected teams of specialists, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating and effective.Essential Knowledge And Skills

Proven experience delivering complex, large-scale technical projects with a focus on data platforms, analytics, or data-driven solutions.Deep understanding of data technologies, including data pipelines, ETL, data warehousing, and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).Strong technical background to engage with engineers, architects and data scientists to align on technical solutions.Experience managing cross-functional teams (engineering, product, data) and strong communication/influencing skills to engage senior stakeholders.Experience with different delivery approaches; apply the appropriate framework from the TVG Delivery toolkit.Facilitate ceremonies across multiple technical squads; coordinate tasks and resources aligned to portfolio strategy and transition outcomes.Experience on high-profile projects across a range of technical and business disciplines.Experience working with a Product Manager, Tech Lead, BA, and delivery team to define the roadmap for a product or project.Demonstrate adaptive planning, problem detection, and continuous improvement.Identify and own impediments, helping the team overcome them.Focus on continuous value-driven delivery.Experience working with and managing external partners.Encourage behaviours to facilitate continuous improvement of the delivery team.Experience coaching and mentoring team members and others to apply agile and lean tools and techniques.Benefits
