We are seeking a skilled Data and BI Analyst to join our growing company to drive data-driven decision-making through comprehensive analysis of internal company operations and performance. This is a pivotal role for someone who is passionate about data analysis and wants to contribute to driving business performance.Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze core company data across departments; design and build interactive dashboards for key metrics (growth, product usage, operational efficiency); develop self-service analytics for department managers; conduct ad-hoc analyses; create executive-level reporting for board meetings and investor updates; ensure data accuracy across reporting platforms; participate in defining our BI and data technology stack.Data Management and Infrastructure: Collaborate with Data Engineering to implement data governance, ensure data quality, and act as a key data stakeholder; document data sources, definitions, and methodologies.Required Qualifications
Technical Skills : Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related field; demonstrable experience in data analysis or BI; proficiency in SQL across various data sources; experience with BI tools (ThoughtSpot, Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar); strong Excel skills (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data modelling); understanding of statistical concepts and data visualization principles; optional: programming experience in Python or R for data analysis.Business Acumen : Ability to learn core business metrics across departments and translate requirements into insights with leadership support; experience working with operational and/or financial data; knowledge of data governance and compliance requirements.Soft Skills : Excellent communication, ability to present complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders; strong problem-solving and critical thinking; detail-oriented with high accuracy; ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities; collaborative with cross-functional teams.Preferred Qualifications : Experience in companies of similar size and/or being an early BI/Data hire; certifications in relevant BI tools or data platforms; experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud); knowledge of data warehousing concepts.Reporting Structure
