Senior Cost Consultant MEP / Major Packages About the Role Location: North East England We are seeking an experienced Senior Cost Consultant to join our Cost and Commercial Management team, supporting the commercial delivery of a major hyperscale data centre programme. The role focuses on post-contract commercial management across major capital work packages, with particular emphasis on MEP and complex construction packages. You will play a key role in managing commercial performance from procurement through to final account, working closely with the Commercial Director, contractors, consultants, project teams and wider stakeholders. The role will involve GMP development, contract administration, change control, valuations, forecasting, cost reporting and final accounts. Key Responsibilities Support the Commercial Director across major capital packages from procurement through to final account. Support and, where appropriate, lead GMP development, negotiation and conversion. Provide commercial management across major packages including MEP, enabling works, civils, structures, steel, architectural and CSA. Manage and support final account negotiations and agreement. Undertake FIDIC-based contract administration. Prepare and review valuations and payment recommendations. Manage change control, variations and commercial adjustments.
