Senior Corporate Sustainability Consultant (Technical) – 8-month fixed contract, sabbatical cover. Hybrid working from London offices (Sustainable Ventures, Waterloo, Central London). 37.5 hours per week; 9-day fortnight trial with no pay loss. Location: London, UK. Deadline: 9am Monday 6 October 2025.We are looking for an experienced Senior Technical Consultant to join our Sustainable Business team, lead on high-profile technical projects, and make a measurable impact.Your role and impact
Our award-winning Sustainable Business team supports clients to develop innovative and practical solutions that enable transformational sustainability journeys. You will lead on technical projects, support a talented team, and contribute to shaping client outcomes.Your responsibilities include:Manage a portfolio of around five strategic client relationships, ensuring technical work is accurate, insightful and impactfulDeliver carbon footprints, net-zero roadmaps and carbon reduction action plans for businessesOversee development of science-based carbon reduction targets and guide businesses through their submission to the SBTiAdvise and support businesses with sustainability reporting disclosures (SECR, CDP, CSRD, GRI)Oversee delivery across technical outputs, ensuring quality assurance processes and supervising colleagues’ workSupport and mentor colleagues to develop their technical skillsDrive new work by contributing to proposals and bids, shaping technical content and approachWork closely with, and be line managed by, the Director of Sustainable Business, with the opportunity to deputise on technical mattersDevelop skills and experience at the cutting edge of corporate sustainability and reportingYour skills and experience
We’re looking for an experienced consultant who can hit the ground running as a senior point of contact on technical projects, supporting our skilled technical team.
