Senior Commercial Policy Advisor

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Policy Advisor to support a major project focused on identifying and addressing commercial, supply chain and market risks.

The role will involve analysing external research, applying commercial and supply chain expertise, engaging stakeholders, and developing evidence-based recommendations and policy options.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse contractor research and evidence to identify commercial, supply chain and market risks.
• Conduct targeted research and develop practical, evidence-based recommendations.
• Engage with industry stakeholders and external partners to gather insight and feedback.
• Plan and facilitate stakeholder workshops and engagement events.
• Build effective relationships with senior leaders and decision-makers.
• Present complex findings clearly to a range of audiences.
• Produce high-quality written and presentation materials for senior-level decisions.

Essential Experience & Skills

• Strong commercial and supply chain experience, ideally across complex supplier networks.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to turn research and data into clear recommendations.
• Experience managing stakeholder engagement and facilitating workshops.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including strong email writing.
• Advanced PowerPoint and presentation skills.
• Confidence presenting and facilitating discussions with senior stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate complex information into practical policy options
