Senior Buyer Location: Havant Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Salary: From £45k, DOE Hunters client is seeking an experienced Senior Buyer to join their team in Havant. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, this role plays a key part in managing the supply chain and supporting the Procurement function to ensure materials, plant, and services are delivered on time and within budget. Senior Buyer - The Role Source suppliers, negotiate pricing, and secure best value procurement solutions Manage procurement of materials, plant, and services in line with project schedules Build strong relationships with internal teams including Contracts and Estimating Produce cost/value reports and support budgeting and lifecycle cost analysis Support the Procurement Manager with team coordination, training, and department operations Senior Buyer - The Fit Proven experience in procurement and supply chain within construction or civil engineering Strong negotiation, data analysis, and supplier management skills Knowledge of material specifications and compliance with QHSE standards Confident communicator with the ability to manage stakeholders and support team development Relevant qualification (HNC preferred) and/or CIPS qualification desirable, with a proactive and results-driven approach This role is ideal for a commercially minded procurement professional looking to step into a senior position with real impact, supporting both project delivery and team growth. ..... full job details .....
