The Opportunity

We’re partnering with a well-established and highly regarded property and construction consultancy to recruit a Senior Building Surveyor for their Exeter office.

The Role

As a Senior Building Surveyor, you’ll deliver a wide range of surveying and project management services across a diverse and engaging portfolio. Projects span sectors including education, commercial, retail, and care, offering both scale and variety.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering a full range of professional building surveying services
• Managing refurbishment and improvement projects from concept through to completion
• Acting as lead consultant and primary client contact
• Preparing specifications, reports, and technical documentation
• Undertaking contract administration and project management duties
• Collaborating with internal teams and external consultants
• Ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, and to a high standard

This role offers full project lifecycle involvement, giving you the opportunity to take real ownership and pride in your work.

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a confident and experienced Chartered Building Surveyor who can bring:

• MRICS status (essential)
• Proven experience delivering both professional services and project management
• Strong technical expertise in refurbishment and asset improvement works
• Proficiency in CAD software
• Revit experience (desirable but not essential)
• Excellent communication skills and confidence in client-facing situations
• A proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused mindset
