Senior BIM Engineer / Senior BIM CAD Engineer
Location: Colchester, Essex
Salary: £60,000-£80,000 DOE

Working Pattern: Hybrid - 1 day per week available

The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for two Senior BIM / CAD Engineers to join a growing team based at a modern manufacturing facility in Colchester.
The team works on technically complex and mission-critical projects, including Data Centres, Battery Facilities and Commercial Office developments.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced BIM / CAD professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and wants to be part of a collaborative team delivering high-quality MEP projects from detailed design through to manufacture and installation.
The Role
As a Senior BIM / CAD Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting the development and delivery of detailed BIM and CAD models across a range of major projects.
You''ll work closely with the wider design, engineering and project teams to ensure models and information are accurate, coordinated and suitable for construction and fabrication.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Developing and managing detailed MEP BIM models
• Producing and coordinating detailed construction information
• Working on Stage 5 projects through detailed design and delivery
• Using Revit, Navisworks and other Autodesk AEC software
• Coordinating mechanical and electrical services within BIM environments
• Supporting design coordination and clash detection
• Working closely with project and manufacturing teams
• Ensuring models meet project requirements and standards
• Supporting fabrication and installation workflows
• Contributing to efficient BIM and digital delivery processes

About You
We''re looking for experienced BIM / CAD Engineers who have:

• 5+ years'' experience working on Stage 5 projects
• Strong proficiency in Revit and Navisworks
• Experience using wider Autodesk AEC software
• Strong MEP knowledge
• Mechanical bias would be advantageous but is not essential
• Experience working within a fast-paced project environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• The ability to commute to the Colchester office

Desirable Experience
The following experience would be highly beneficial:

• DFMA modelling
• Fabrication detailing and workflows
• Understanding of COBie requirements
• Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
• BIM collaborative platforms
• Experience working on Data Centre, Battery Facility or other mission-critical projects
