Senior Associate Solicitor - Property DevelopmentThis is a fantastic opportunity to join our hard-working and friendly Development and House Building Team based in Reading. We are looking for a Senior Associate Property Development Solicitor with 5+ year PQE to support the partners on transactional matters and manage their own caseload autonomously, with support available where needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Drafting option agreements, deeds, and contracts.

Undertaking due diligence and providing detailed reporting.

Managing a caseload of development transactions, including acquisitions and disposals of development land, plot sales, planning, and construction matters.

Handling secured acquisition and development finance transactions.

Contributing to processes and documents required for plot sales.

Identifying concerns and risks, and providing practical and commercial solutions.

Communicating effectively with team members, clients, and third parties involved in transactions.

Gaining an understanding of the planning system and its impact on development transactions.

Participating in business development activities and cultivating relationships within the development community.

Skills and Experience Required:

A proven track record of working autonomously on complex transactions, with partner assistance available as required.

Experience in building and maintaining relationships with clients and referrers in the development sector.

Strong drafting skills, verbal and written communication skills.

Organised and detail-oriented with an ability to approach complex problems methodically.

Practical and commercial thinking, with resourcefulness and a strong work ethic.

A willingness to engage in marketing and business development activities.

Flexible working is available; however, regular attendance at our Reading office (at least twice a week) is expected.
