Senior Accountant

The OpportunityNigel Wright are delighted to be partnering with a well-established and highly regarded accountancy practice in the North West to recruit a Senior Accountant.This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified or part-qualified accountant to join a collaborative and growing firm, working with a varied portfolio of clients and gaining exposure across accounts, tax, and audit.The RoleReporting into senior leadership, you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients while supporting wider team delivery across accounting, tax and audit engagements.Key responsibilities include:Preparing year-end statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companiesPreparing and submitting VAT returns accurately and in line with deadlinesCompleting personal tax returns (SA100) and calculating client liabilitiesProducing corporation tax computations and CT600 returnsActing as a key point of contact for clients, managing queries and gathering required financial informationSupporting audit assignments, including fieldwork and assisting senior team membersMaintaining accurate and up-to-date bookkeeping records using cloud-based accounting systemsIdentifying potential tax and accounting planning opportunities and escalating where appropriateSupporting and mentoring junior team members, contributing to a positive and collaborative team environmentThe PersonWe are keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:Experience within an accountancy practice environmentStrong ..... full job details .....
