Senior Accountant | Finance Process & Reporting Improvement

The Opportunity
An opportunity has arisen for a commercially minded finance professional to join an organisation on a six-month fixed-term contract, supporting a review and implementation of improvements across finance processes, management reporting and systems.

This role will suit someone with strong technical finance skills, excellent Excel capabilities and a hands-on approach to improving processes, enhancing reporting and partnering with stakeholders across the business.

Key Responsibilities

• Review existing finance processes, management reporting and controls, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy and consistency.
  
• Support the design and implementation of improved finance processes, reporting frameworks and systems.
  
• Develop and enhance management reporting to provide meaningful financial insight and support business decision-making.
  
• Partner with Finance Managers and wider business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and deliver practical solutions.
  
• Identify opportunities to streamline and automate reporting processes using Excel and finance systems.
  
• Support the implementation and embedding of new processes across the finance function.
  

About You

• Previous experience in a management accounting or Finance Manager role, with a strong understanding of management reporting and financial processes.
  
• Strong Excel skills and the ability to analyse, manipulate and present financial data.
  
• Systems-savvy, with the ability to navigate finance systems and identify opportunities for process improvement and automation.
  
• Excellent business partnering and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work across finance and non-finance teams.
  
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work independently and deliver improvements within a fixed-term assignment.
  
• A recognised accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) would be advantageous but is not essential. Relevant experience and technical capability are equally valued.

• Salary: -50,00060,000 per annum, dependent on experience
  
• Working pattern: Hybrid, with 2-3 days per week in the office
