Supply Desk are working in partnership with a popular and welcoming two-form entry primary school in Maidstone that are seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

This is a full-time, long-term position running until the end of the academic year (July 2025), with the potential for continuation into the next academic year for the right person.

About the Role:

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to a Year 2 pupil with ASC, helping them access learning and feel supported throughout the school day.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement individual strategies and adapt activities where needed.
• Foster a positive, nurturing environment that encourages progress, independence, and confidence.

What Weandrsquo;re Looking For:

• Experience supporting children with Autism (ASC), ideally in a primary school or similar setting.
• A calm, approachable, and patient nature with a genuine passion for working with SEND children.
• Confidence in building positive relationships and supporting emotional regulation and social development.
• Ability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, until at least July 2025.
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.

Desirable (but not essential):

• Experience with Makaton, PECS, or Team Teach training.
• Previous experience supporting children in KS1.
