SEN Teaching Assistant - CaerphillySalary: 26,228 - 27,593 per year based on 37.5 hours per week Contract: Full time, permanent position.Start date: As soon as possible or September 2026School Staffing Solutions are working with a secondary SEN school in Caerphilly who require a Teaching Assistant to mentor and support their pupils.The school provides high quality learning experiences within a small, focused nurturing environment to secondary school aged children who have an IDP/ALN Statement and have ADHD and/or express behaviours that are challenging or inappropriate in a community setting. The staff to student ratio is usually 2:4 in all classes.Key ResponsibilitiesMentoring, supporting and inspiring learners by supporting them with curriculum-based learning in the classroom, on home tuition and outreach and through outdoor activitiesAssist with the preparation of learning material and contributing to the delivery of learning objectives with a strong focus on behavioural managementDaily reports on learners'' progress and barriers to learningInteraction with parents/care givers on a regular basisThe successful candidate will have:A committed and passionate view of students with SENDAt least two years'' experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provisionA level 3 TA qualification is advantageousBenefits:Enhanced pension schemeStaff Referral SchemeEnhanced maternity and paternity payAccess to a blue light discount card Fully funded training and ..... full job details .....
