Supply Desk are seeking an SEND Primary Teacher to join a specialist school in the Havant area. The school is entering an exciting phase of development, with a strong focus on meeting the needs of neurodiverse pupilsandmdash;primarily those with ASC (Autism Spectrum Condition) and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs).
With small class sizes (around 8 pupils), structured timetables to support SEMH needs, this is a unique opportunity to work in a nurturing and purposeful environment where every child can thrive.
The Role
- Teach a small class of children with additional needs (approx. 8 pupils).
- Deliver Maths, English, Phonics, alongside social and life skills.
- Support pupils in achieving personalised SEMH and academic targets.
- Full-time position, with the option of a permanent contract.
- Job share (3andndash;4 days per week) will be considered.
Candidate Profile
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) required.
- Previous experience in SEND (essential).
- Strong knowledge of KS1 and KS2 curriculum.
- Confident in behaviour and classroom management.
- Resilient, empathetic, and enthusiastic.
- Experience in targeted interventions (preferred).
